Top Ten {Tuesday} - Things that make me happy

1. Baby giggles and toddler laughs.  Love. Them.

2. Sleeping in.  It happens rarely these days, but when it does? Happiness.

3. Red Christmas cups at Starbucks.  And Gingerbread Lattes.

4. Walking into the Magic Kingdom.  Seeing the Castle for the first time on a trip.

5. The fact that there's only 72 days until I get to do #4 again.

6. Being off for a year on maternity leave and spending it with my kiddos.

7. Getting trapped under a sleeping baby.  I know those moments won't last forever, so when they do happen, I'm trying to forget about the laundry and the tidying that needs to be done, and just enjoy it.

8. My hubby telling me not to worry about the laundry and the tidying when he gets home after a day where I have been trapped under a sleeping baby.

9. The fact that Lovebug's socks never stay on.  I'm constantly putting socks back on.  But I love it.

10. Family gettogethers.  The busyness, the noise, the laughter.  Love it.

Hallowe'en!

Well, better late than never, right?

Hallowe'en was a much more happy event this year than last!  Last year, Mom was at the hospital for what would later turn into complications from H1N1 and a 2 week stint on a ventilator.  This year, she was at our house, enjoying some slow cooked pulled pork and handing out candy while we trick-or-treated with the Monkey and the Lovebug.

This year, Colin was Buzz Lightyear, complete with light up wings.  He's reached that age where it's VERY hard to get a picture of him without a scowl or a goofy smile, so our pictures are kind of few and far between.

Amelia was a little pea in a pod.  While I didn't even dare attempt to make Colin's costume, I did make hers, complete with pea pod stroller.

Here's a couple pictures of the two of them (cute, if I do say so myself!)

Once we drove over to see Grandma, Grandpa and Nonna, and Auntie Elisha, Uncle Justin, Isabelle and Frederick, we came home and went trick-or-treating on our street.  Last year, despite the bitter cold wind, Colin did our entire crescent.  This year?  Not so much.  He had a complete meltdown at the first house (our daycare provider) and then only wanted to do about 5 other houses, and only those that he knew.  Amelia was a trooper though - snug as a (love)bug in her cozy pea costume.
